Turn Your Business Idea Into a Plan With ChatGPT
A dream without steps is just random production. Here is the exact prompt I use to turn a big goal into a 365-day, step-by-step plan, and how I break that plan into projects I can execute today.

The One Common Denominator
How do we turn a dream, an idea, a vision into reality? Action. Action is the foundation of all success.
I have had the pleasure and privilege of hanging around a lot of great business people, game-changing individuals who have built a lot of success. And after almost two decades in the business game, I can tell you there is one common denominator between all of them. It's not talent. It's not luck. It's action. These people get into consistent action, every single day.
So the real question is: how do you get yourself into that kind of action? I'm going to show you how I produce enormous amounts of it every single day. And yes, my favorite tool for producing a lot of stuff is artificial intelligence. Specifically, I'm going to show you what I do with ChatGPT.
You can't hit a target that you don't see.
The Prompt That Builds Your Game Plan
Let's say I want to build a brand from scratch. I want a game plan, things to do step by step that guide me toward massive amounts of action. Here's the prompt I use. You can run it in whatever tool you like, ChatGPT, Gemini, Llama, there are many of them. Just replace the pieces with your own goal:
"I have the following goal: become the largest dog supplement brand in the USA and worldwide. I would like to accomplish this within 365 days. I want to create a comprehensive plan from start to finish that outlines all major steps and substeps necessary to accomplish my goal. For each step, include all steps. Do not assume that I know how to do anything. Be as clear and as detailed as possible with every step, and where applicable, include links to additional resources that will help me better understand how to do that step. For every major step, include a realistic completion date so I can plan out my time to work on this goal. Put the entire plan in a Word document that I can download. Here is additional information I think you will need to create this plan for me."
Then you feed it everything about your business. In my case, I have a supplement brand I'm building for animals with the one and only Cesar Millan, the original host of the Dog Whisperer show. So I gave it Cesar's message: he wants a truly healthy dog, one that focuses on the spirit too. He didn't just want to sell products, he wanted to create something special. The more you feed it, the better results you will get.
What Comes Back
Paste that in, and out comes a full 365-day, step-by-step master plan in a Word document I can download. Positioning and messaging with target completion dates. Product development and quality assurance. E-commerce infrastructure. Fulfillment and logistics. Influencer and ambassador partnerships. A paid media blitz so I can go out there, spend advertising dollars, and get the brand known. An organic content engine, because you have to leverage the fact that we have organic opportunities to get messages seen and heard by audiences. International expansion. Brand trust and community building.
And here's some of the impressive stuff. When it came to Cesar, I didn't give it that much data. But because I said his name and told it to use his values, and because he has information out there on the internet, it knew exactly how to help me based on who Cesar is. It defined the core brand story around his philosophy: natural, simple, profound.
This is what a plan does. Without a plan, without a program and steps to take, it's just a dream. With a plan in place, it becomes real.
Turn Every Step Into a Project
Now here's where it gets powerful. Every item in that plan is numbered, and because it has numbers, the tool remembers exactly what each number was. So let's say I want to build out that organic content engine. I go back and say: give me exact details to execute on number seven.
Now I have more plan, more strategy, and more execution. It scripts a key video series: brand philosophy, Cesar's personal rituals, problem-solution content, daily rituals, all with deliverables. It plans a one-day shoot, location at Cesar's ranch or a calm home setting with dogs, and lists the crew we need, videographer, sound, B-roll shooter, you name it. It creates a 30-day organic content calendar: educate, inspire, tell a story, create emotional connection. Monday on TikTok you post this. Tuesday you post that. Then you repurpose across the other platforms. The whole plan has been written.
You get the idea, right? It is as simple as that. One prompt gives you the master plan. Follow-up prompts turn each step into an executable project.
You Don't Win a War With a Battle
There's a saying that goes like this: you can't hit a target that you don't see. If you see the target and you work toward that target, you'll be able to hit it. Every single one of the people I've seen hit major targets always has a plan and always works toward it.
It's something I learned from my father: you don't win a war with a battle. You win a war with a strategy. Without steps to take, all you have is random production. With a plan, you are systematically, every single day, producing toward your big goal.
So communicate with the tool. Tell it what you want. Have it come up with the game plan. And understand this is just the beginning of how you turn AI into a massive partner, a huge, important, intelligent partner that helps you execute at a high level.

Digital Footprints: The Real Power of Social Media Marketing
Every second someone spends with your content leaves a footprint the platforms hand back to you. Here is how I turn those footprints into audiences, and why they expire if you sit on them.
