How to Run Meta Ads With Claude and MCP

Meta now has a direct integration with Claude through MCP, which means an AI agent can analyze, scale, and manage your ad campaigns from a chat window. Here is exactly how we use it at AGM, and how you set it up without writing a line of code.

This Is Not a Third-Party Tool. This Is Meta Itself.

Oh my god, guys, do you get this? What is happening right now feels like Minority Report. Like we jumped straight to 2059. What I want to talk about is integrating an AI agent directly into our Business Manager. Not through some sketchy third-party software. This is a direct integration with Meta. Authorized by Mr. Zuckerberg himself.

Claude now works directly on our Business Manager. The world just became a lot more powerful for advertisers and marketers. AI working for me 24/7. When I'm driving, while I sleep, while I'm on vacation. All I have to do is communicate with it.

Here's the analogy. If you go to a restaurant, you have a menu. The API takes your order, sends it to the kitchen, and the kitchen makes it for you. There are several parties involved, all these different technologies. With MCP, the model context protocol, I can put them all in the kitchen and manage them through one single platform. Just one. That's it.

I have not replaced humans with AI. I have replaced humans that don't use AI with humans that use AI.

What Claude Can Actually Execute Inside Business Manager

For those of you that don't know, AGM stands for Attention Grabbing Media. It's a 10-year-old marketing agency, an Inc. 5000 company, that services all kinds of brands, businesses, celebrities and people. We build brands and we scale them. And we run a lot of Meta campaigns, Facebook advertising, Instagram ads. With MCP, you can now go to Claude and run all of those campaigns directly on Meta.

One of my first questions was simple: what can you do to help me with this integration? Give me a list of things you can execute for me. The answer: account reporting. Campaigns. Create new ad sets under existing campaigns. Set targeting, budgets, bidding strategies, optimization goals, scheduling and placements. Update existing ad sets and campaigns. Create new campaigns, activate or pause them. Create ad creatives, create individual ads under ad sets, view existing creatives and which ads use them. List your custom audiences. Create new custom audiences.

That last one matters. One of our biggest nightmares since the beginning has been keeping audiences updated, because they had to be updated manually. Now you can have an agent do it. Imagine someone like Cesar Millan posting videos every single day. Once a day, the agent comes in at 7:00 a.m., updates all the audiences, rolls all the video watchers into the same audience, and now the whole thing runs on automatic.

The agents are inside the MCP, going out there, taking your requests and getting work done for you. You don't have to get feedback from AI and then go do it yourself. You just say: you get it done.

Watch It Scale a Real Account in Seconds

Here's what I actually did on one of our accounts. I asked: what were the top 10 performing ad sets on this account that I could potentially scale to produce more results? It took no more than 30 seconds. It gave me 10 ad sets with how many purchases each one got yesterday, the cost per purchase, how much was spent, the impressions. It even highlighted warnings from Meta, like creative fatigue: you got 186 purchases at $11 per purchase, but your creative is fatiguing.

Then came the scaling recommendations. It told me I could potentially spend 20% more budget that day. So I said: let's go ahead and execute. It checked the current daily budgets, calculated the 20% increase, and updated both assets simultaneously. Both budgets updated successfully. In seconds. Just like that. And here's the part that impressed me: it flagged that the API forced both assets into paused status when the budget changed, and reactivated them on its own so they kept running.

Later I told it the bigger picture. The account had 49 active assets spending a combined 8,500 yesterday, and I needed a thousand more per day to hit 9,500. I just said: scale. It executed all the updates, reactivated everything, and gave me a full summary of what changed, old budget to new budget, line by line.

And it understands the game. There's something called a learning phase on Meta. If you change a campaign too drastically, it can crash your numbers and send the optimization back to square one. The tool is intelligent enough to know that. It told me: you want to scale, but we should not scale more than 15 to 20% over the next 3 days. Plus it keeps a change log of everything, so I don't have to remember. At the end of the week you can just ask: give me a summary of what we did this week, what worked and what didn't. Boom.

How to Set It Up (No Coding Required)

For those of you saying, okay Manuel, but how do I integrate this? It's very simple. I promise you it's not complicated at all. It doesn't require coding experience, coding abilities, nothing. That's part of the beautiful thing about this era: the complications of code and development are out the window.

First step: download Claude Desktop from the downloads page. It has to be the desktop app, apparently that's the way it works. Then go to Settings, Connectors, add custom connector, and put in the Meta ads MCP address: https://mcp.facebook.com/ads/mcp. Click add, then click connect. It takes you to Facebook to authorize, and it brings all your data in. As simple as that.

Then start a new chat and just ask. Tell me which ad accounts have MCP enabled. What's happening with this account today? Give me an update. Just like that, you're integrated.

To be clear: you still have to get in there and create campaigns from scratch. Your listings, your ad creative, your images, your videos, your graphics, you still have to do all of that. But you can now manage your campaigns directly through Claude.

This Is About Making Humans More Powerful

Guys, this is what it's all about. I personally have zero intention of replacing humans. But I have every intention of making you more powerful and more effective. I have not replaced humans with AI. I have replaced humans that don't use AI with humans that use AI. That I have done. You cannot work in this company anymore if you're not into AI. I'm actively hiring right now, but I'm only hiring people that have AI capabilities.

Because here's where the real power comes in: AI in the hands of a marketer who can create. An artist. Someone passionate, really good at what they do, obsessed over the game of attention and impact and revenue and convincing a customer to buy. That's the real power of an agency.

My prediction for 2026, and it's not really a prediction, it's already a reality: people are not going to log into software anymore. You're going to log into your LLM, a Claude or a ChatGPT, and you're going to manage all your software through MCP. This becomes your command center. And this guy becomes your number one warrior. To have access to this tool and get the journey started? Priceless.
