Facebook Is Paying Creators Right Now: How Content Monetization Works
Facebook is paying people to post the content they should be posting anyway. Here is how the opportunity works, why the qualification bar is lower than YouTube, and what formats are earning right now.

Why Content Is Still a Wide-Open Opportunity
I'm going to tell you how to turn your content into profit with Facebook monetization. But first, understand why creating content is such an opportunity in the first place. It has a lot to do with the fact that not many people have the courage and the persistence to keep going and not give up.
They start posting on social media, they get two views, and they get upset. Or they see their friends getting a thousand views. Or they see somebody on TikTok doing dances and getting millions of views, and they feel they should be able to get millions of views too. So they start giving up. But that's not how the game is won. You have to go out there, get going, keep going, and not give up. Failure is optional.
How cool is it that now you can do this and make some money, and Facebook can be a part of your marketing journey?
Facebook Is Handing Out Free Money
Content monetization on Facebook is a huge deal right now in 2025. What does that mean? Facebook is actively looking for people like you and like me to post content in quantity and in quality on the platform. And in exchange, they're going to pay you for posting it. That's right. Free money.
Here's a real example. On one of our Facebook pages, we got paid $5,747 for the last 28 days. That's 27% above what it was the month before. And here's the part I want you to really get: that's for content I would have posted even if they didn't pay me a penny.
Why do I post content? Because content is the key for me to get attention on these platforms. When I'm able to get attention, I'm able to sell other products and other services. Without the attention I get from social media, I wouldn't be here talking to you about it. We have a company called NaturalSlim that gets a lot of attention. I've serviced giants like Cesar Millan and many others, and they all depend on the attention we get from these platforms.
And I believe this monetization opportunity is going to be here for quite a while, because Meta needs to match up with platforms like YouTube that keep great creators posting by paying them for their content.
The Qualification Bar Is Way Lower Than YouTube
Here's something you might not know. The rules to qualify for Facebook content monetization are simple. Compare that to YouTube, where you need 4,000 hours of watch time in the last 12 months plus a minimum of 1,000 subscribers to share in ad revenue. Those two things are not easy to get, and they take time.
On Facebook, all you've got to do is get good engagement. You can even monetize a personal Facebook profile as long as you set it up as a professional profile. Go into your settings and turn on professional mode. With professional mode on, you can make money on Facebook right away, especially if you already have some engagement.
And they pay you like clockwork. Checks go out at the beginning of every month based on what happened the previous month.
Views Are Not the Whole Story: Demographics Matter
Here's something interesting from our own numbers. A second page we're monetizing made $6,342 in the last 28 days on 29 million views. The first page I showed you had far more views and made $5,700. Less views, more money. How?
The difference is the demographic. The countries that pay the most are going to be USA-heavy audiences. When I look at earnings by country, the United States is number one by a long shot, and then the UK, Canada, Germany, Australia, Netherlands, and Sweden are all sharing in the revenue too. Which tells me this whole opportunity is just getting started, and it's going worldwide.
Every Format Is Earning: Reels, Long Form, Stories, Text, Even Images
On our pages, reels are the top earning source. On that second page, reels revenue was up 53% to $2,327, more than 30% of all the revenue. But long-form videos are making money too. We take long-form educational videos, post them, and Facebook pays us. I got paid $1,548.38 in the last 28 days just for posting long-form videos. Same thing with stories.
And here's what we're testing right now that seems to be on fire: text posts. You know the difference between text posts and reels? Text posts are very easy to make. You can take somebody who has a book, or somebody who has content, feed it to AI tools like ChatGPT, and it will help you come up with a bunch of text you can post. And on Facebook, those posts get sent to a lot of people, and you make money with that content.
Even images are earning. One of our pages made $600 from me just posting pictures. Just posting educational content at scale, consistently, with quality and quantity in mind, will make you good money on Facebook and let you ride this wave.
Get Started Today
So here's your move. If you have a personal profile, turn it into a professional dashboard. If you have a Facebook page, start posting content at scale. As you post, you'll start reaching new people in new countries, and the checks will follow.
And remember: you would have probably done this for free. You believe in your message, your products, and your services so much that you would have used these platforms without Facebook ever giving you a penny. How cool is it that now you can do exactly that and make some money, with Facebook becoming a small part of your marketing journey? Use that energy to keep on growing and keep on expanding. Get attention at scale, build your business, and collect free money on the way.
