You may or may not know this about me, but I’m a big fan of Amazon as a selling platform.<\/span><\/p>\n

In fact, I had my first \u201cbig\u201d business success as an Amazon seller. My business partner, Ernesto, and I created a bedsheet brand from scratch.<\/span><\/p>\n

And we grew that business from $0 to over 6 figures in sales each month in about 18 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

Then we were able to sell the business for a nice profit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Even though that was a few years ago, the opportunity for you to do the same still exists today.<\/span><\/p>\n

But, if you are going to start an Amazon business, you should follow these 7 steps:<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Decide What to Sell<\/b><\/h1>\n


Amazon is the world\u2019s largest online marketplace, and for a lot of people, it\u2019s the first choice when they\u2019re looking for a product to buy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As an Amazon seller, you have the opportunity to reach a whole world of customers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But with so many products available, what do you choose to sell?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

One way to go is to choose items that are in high demand and that are not already being sold by a large number of other sellers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the better route and more importantly, you want to choose a product that you are passionate about and that you have knowledge on.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Then you can really start working towards building a successful business on Amazon.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Create Your Brand<\/b><\/h2>\n

Branding is very important for any business, but more importantly on Amazon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So right about now you\u2019re probably wondering why, and that\u2019s understandable because it\u2019s supposed to be simple; you have a product, people find it, and buy it right?<\/span><\/p>\n

Maybe in the early days of Amazon sure, but platforms evolve, get more competitive, and you need to start standing out.<\/span><\/p>\n

With millions of products now available, customers need something to tell how your product is different from the competition.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n


<\/span>So a strong brand helps customers to remember your product and makes them more likely to buy from you again in the future.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With just a little creativity and determination, you can start to build a brand that will resonate with customers and help your business to stand out from the sea of other Amazon sellers.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Start With 1 Product<\/b><\/h2>\n

When you start out with your 1 item, you don\u2019t need to worry about all the multiple SKUs and you have an opportunity to better manage your inventory to keep your costs low.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You also have the chance to perfect your listing, packaging and set yourself up to create those 5-Star customer reviews – all essential for any kind of success on Amazon.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Establish Your Seller Central Account<\/b><\/h2>\n


Now this may be obvious, but if you want to get in on the Amazon action, you absolutely need to set up a Seller Central Account.<\/span><\/p>\n

Creating a Seller Central account is fairly simple and should only take a small chunk of time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

From there, you just need to provide some basic information about yourself and your business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Once you complete the sign-up process, you’ll be ready to start listing your products on Amazon.<\/span><\/p>\n

So if you’re serious about selling online, then establishing a Seller Central account is a must.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Optimize Your Listing<\/b><\/h2>\n


Once you have your Amazon Seller Central account, you move onto creating your listing, but more importantly, optimizing it!<\/span><\/p>\n

Your Amazon product listing is one of the most important marketing tools in your wheelhouse.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s your chance to get found on the search result page and convince potential customers to buy from you.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. And finally, write strong product descriptions that highlight the benefits of your product.<\/p>\n

These are just a few tips you can take advantage of to make sure your Amazon product listing is optimized for maximum impact.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Have friends & family buy from you<\/b><\/h2>\n


One of the quickest and easiest ways to let the Amazon algorithm recognize your product is to get sales!<\/span><\/p>\n

And the most convenient way to start doing that is telling your friends and family about your product so they can buy it.<\/span><\/p>\n

And if you want to prepare even more strategically, take a survey of who\u2019s willing to order before your product is even up and running on Amazon to send them all a message when it\u2019s available.<\/span><\/p>\n

Friends and family are the best way to help you start rolling on Amazon, just make sure you remember to ask for their honest feedback to save yourself from sending a bad product to the rest of the market!<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Learn How to Rank Your Product\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n


Keyword research is essential for any business that wants to rank on Amazon.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When you understand which keywords consumers are using to search for products, businesses can optimize their listing to ensure that their products appear as high as possible in the search results.<\/span><\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been talking about this since Day 1... Instagram TV \ud83d\udcfa <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>It\u2019s crazy how most people operate. Let me explain. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>People see things evolving RIGHT IN FRONT OF THEIR EYES. They see OPPORTUNITIES develop...all WITHOUT actually truly \u201c<\/span>SEEING<\/span><\/i>\u201d them. They WATCH them happen, but they don\u2019t DO ANYTHING about them. I\u2019m talking about 99% of the population. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>Then...When it becomes \u201cTOO LATE IN THE GAME\u201d they say to others \u2014 and to themselves: <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>\u201cRemember when YouTube was so easy? Remember when anyone could post a video in 2006 and get a million views in a month? Remember when you could easily grow subscribers? Man! How I wish I was part of that era. Too bad I didn\u2019t catch it in time\u201d. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/i>
<\/span><\/i>
<\/span>Ok, the example that I just gave above represents the 99%. The remaining 1% of the population \u2014 THEY are the ones who see OPPORTUNITIES in this modern communications era and they JUMP ALL OVER THEM. And THOSE are the ones who go on to reap untold fortunes and success as a result of it. (Have you ever heard the saying that \u201cSuccess Loves Speed\u201d? It is ABSOLUTELY TRUE.)<\/span><\/p>

Trust me, just like civilization has continuously evolved for hundreds \u2014 even THOUSANDS of years \u2014 and now we are able to send space shuttles\ud83d\ude80 to Mars and see millions of light-years away, the communications ERA evolution is JUST GETTING STARTED. And the WISE 1% will be positioning themselves to be in place to reap the rewards that will inevitably come with it.<\/span>

<\/span>An OPPORTUNITY that presents itself today will be here for ONLY a couple of years, and because we live in a fast moving world \ud83c\udf0e, a new opportunity will soon replace it. <\/span>

I\u2019ve heard this many times before but it\u2019s crazy how TRUE this is: \u201cEntrepreneurship boils down to COMMON SENSE\u201d. <\/span>

<\/span>If you\u2019ve read this far you might be wondering: \u201cOK, Manuel; What\u2019s your point?\u201d Let me explain what I mean briefly and I hope that it serves you, and that you will THEN \u00a0jump in and become a part of the 1% and ride the wave together with me, because I\u2019m sure as heck riding it. <\/span>

<\/span>So...What\u2019s going on today? <\/span><\/p>


Instagram TV specifically, has become what YouTube was just 13 years ago: A virgin platform with MASSIVE ATTENTION, which we can all utilize to drive abundant traffic to our businesses, products and services \u2014 No matter WHAT these are. \u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>I\u2019ve been talking about this since June of last year, and I told everyone to take it seriously. I was right. Facebook invested heavily in the platform in their attempt to steal large amounts of traffic from YouTube, \u00a0just like they did to Snapchat with Instagram stories and Facebook stories. And they are WINNING. \ud83c\udfc6 <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>If you already have an existing following on Instagram, you can currently create videos up to 60 minutes in length and upload them on IGTV (with links, descriptions and thumbnails) and Instagram will send ENORMOUS amount of organic traffic to it. I\u2019m talking about 40% plus organic traffic not seen since the days of 2010 Facebook pages (IMPORTANT Note: you must toggle the button that says \u201cProvide preview on Instagram\u201d. Otherwise you will not get this reach). \u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>You can upload videos up to 10 minutes in length directly through your mobile, and up to 60 minutes in length through a computer on the actual Instagram website. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>If you currently DO NOT have a following yet, You MUST \u00a0focus on building a following on Instagram as a first step and the way you currently do this is by driving people to your profile on Instagram. As you grow this, your reach across Instagram TV videos will explode. \u00a0<\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>As with all worthwhile endeavors, It\u2019s a process. And you have to go through it. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>It is also OPPORTUNITY. <\/span>
<\/span>
<\/span>And it\u2019s a MASSIVE one at that. <\/span>

<\/span>Trust me on this. \u00a0<\/span>

<\/span>Believe me when I tell you that this is not speculation. This is based on OBSERVATION. <\/span>

<\/span>If you don\u2019t believe me look at it yourself! <\/span><\/p>

If any brands are at all skeptical about IGTV, they only need to look at the businesses who are finding success on IGTV.<\/span><\/p>


<\/span>Look at existing Instagram TV channels. Look at the brands I manage like Dr Eric Berg, MetabolismoTV and my own. Look at the numbers of followers and the amount of attention these channels get and you will see what I\u2019m talking about.<\/span><\/p>

And here\u2019s another interesting fact: just last month in early February, Instagram announced that IGTV previews would now appear in the regular Instagram feed, along with videos being shared to Instagram profiles. Since that change, views on IGTV videos have skyrocketed across the board, increasing by 300-1000%, providing a strong indicator that IGTV is ON THE RISE.<\/span><\/p>

IGTV holds a lot of potential for brands to engage with their followers through video on Instagram. There are thousands of people who use IGTV every day, and many brands are thriving by posting and creating content specifically for IGTV. <\/span>
<\/span>Some prominent video creators have continued to invest in IGTV and make it their priority for social video marketing \u2014 people like singer John Mayer, 14 year-old actress Jayden Bartels and others. There is aso a host of YouTube vloggers who also use the IGTV platform to catapult their following on Instagram.<\/span><\/p>

Overall, tremendous opportunities on IGTV exist for brands and content creators alike. But it definitely takes time, consistency, and sharing to your Instagram feed.<\/span><\/p>

As far as Instagram is concerned, IGTV is here for the long haul. And as we\u2019ve already seen from their new sharing feature, even small changes can have a big impact. One thing is clear: the decision to share IGTV videos to the main Instagram feed has resulted in a massive increase in IGTV videos.<\/span><\/p>
